The 10th-of-the-Month Panic: California Structural PUR in 2026 and the Audit a Binder Cannot Reconstruct

County monthly summaries, negative “no use” reports, and the technician ticket an inspector can actually match to the label.

September 2026 · 12 minute read · TreatLog

Every structural operator in California already knows the shape of the month: the routes ran, the tickets are in a folder or a spreadsheet tab, and the 10th is closer than the office wants to admit. The rule underneath that panic is not new in 2026. What is current is how the Department of Pesticide Regulation still describes it, and how a structural use monitoring inspection looks when someone shows up while the technician is mixing.

CDPR’s pesticide-use reporting compendium, posted in the department’s 2026 file set, still treats applications by structural pest control businesses as reportable. The monthly summary for structural (code 10) use carries the product name, the registration number, and the undiluted amount. Months with no applications still need a negative report to each county the business is registered in, due by the 10th. Structural use records are kept for three years and have to be producible when the commissioner asks. None of that is a suggestion.
